My love affair with travel began during my 11th birthday lunch at our local French restaurant. As I blew out the candles on the cream puffs, the chef came over and whispered in my ear tales of seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time and strolling along the Champs-Elysees. It has taken me a few decades, but I am finally fulfilling those childhood dreams. My free time is usually spent planning, researching, and dreaming about our next travel adventure. (Stay tuned for my next adventure: My Way 14 Day Europe to celebrate Rebecca's high school graduation!)
Donna recently retired after many years as a college English professor. One of Donna's hobbies is painting. She travels with the tiniest water color set, so she can use her free time to paint and capture the beautiful countryside. (My mom's next adventure is the Villages of South England in May!)
My Daughter! Rebecca
Who We Left At Home
Rebecca was 17 this summer, and has taken 7 Rick Steves' tours with us. This summer, however, she decided to participate in a summer study abroad program at Oxford, England. She lived at Corpus Christi College and studied International Business as her major and Pop Culture as Knowledge for her minor. She had an AMAZING time and was a complete local by the time the four weeks were over. She highly recommends Ben's Cookies, Moo Moos Shakes, and the Pizza Truck that parks right outside of Christ Church College most nights.
Amelia Earhart the black lab
The hardest part of our travel adventures is leaving our black lab at home! On the trip we were constantly asking people if we could pet their dogs to get a little canine love. Luckily, our Lab adores going to the "puppy spa" for her own vacation. The best days were when the dog kennel posted updates of what she was doing!
